A wiki is essentially a web page but it has one major feature that makes it unique.

A wiki can be viewed AND edited by anyone with a web browser!

I know what you're thinking, spammers can come to your wiki and foul it all up. My thoughts exactly.

But when you think about it in a more positive way, a wiki has some powerful potential.

Remember that Web 2.0 is :
  • Group participation
  • User generated content
  • Connecting with other people
  • Endless learning
  • And much more
A wiki is a way to have group collaboration across the entire Internet! Wiki users get to be both authors and editors.

Wkikis can also have sound, video and pictures allowing a dynamic multimedia portfolio.

This is how you as infopreneurs can use wikis to add even more value to your business. A wiki will, like a blog, encourage community interaction and help to brand you.

While there are possible downsides if you don't police your wiki and make sure no one is making a fool of your content, the benefits may outweigh the  risks.

Wkiis are just another tool you can use in your business building and SEO strategies but this isn't one of the "must dos."
