How To Build Your Web 2.0 Empire
How To Use The "Secret Law Of Attraction" To Build Your Business Online
Video Marketing
How to use the power of video sharing to drive traffic and increase overall awareness and exposure.

The whole point of submitting videos is to get people to see your videos and think "wow, this person really knows his/ her stuff. I need to get over to that website and check out some more great information like this."
Now, understand that there are a TON of video sharing sites out there for you to submit your video content to. But for the purpose of demonstration, we're going to use YouTube as the base example of what to do, just because it's very popular and easy to use. But, I'll also expose you to a slew of other places where you can share your videos.
So, let's get started.
First, you need to have your keyword or "tag" research done to make sure that the keywords you're going to be using are actually being searched in the video sharing communities. You can do this by searching category, channels (by user), and by keywords themselves.
Your findings can be sorted by:
- Date
- Views
- Rating
- Keyword relevance
After creating your account, come up with your keyword lists,, and filled out your pofile, it's time to start uploading your videos.
You can also, if you have several different videos with different topics, create playlists. Another thing you can do to seperate your content topics is to create your own channels.
So, what kinds of videos should you make?
Well, being that I'm experienced in both network marketing and affiliate marketing, let's look at examples of what kinds of things you can do with just those 2 business models.
Network Marketing:
- "Tips" videos about things that you've learned that may help other network marketers.
- Philosophies that you believe in.
- Review videos for any funded proposals you have
- Inspirational videos.
- How To Videos
- Product reviews
- Examples
- "Tips" and "Tricks"
- Funny: People love to laugh and when they see something funny on the net, it makes their day a little bit better.
- Inspiring: Stories of inspiration are great. People like to be uplifted. An example is Tjhe Interview With God presentation.
- Shocking: Shocking videos tend to be very viral, however, I do not recommend you bash other companies and products in order to sell yours. That type of negativity will have no good outcome.
- Interesting: If you can create curiosity with your videos and make your viewer want to learn more about you, your product, your website, you're in like Flynn.
- Sexy: Sex still sells and it always will. If you're a hotty, great. Just don't go overboard and take away from the marketing message. If you use only your "hotness" to sell your products or your company, people most likely won't take you seriously.
- Personal: Internet users love to peek inside other people's worlds from the comfort of their own homes. Use your imagination but always remember to remain professional.
- How To's: A screen cature video showing "this is exactly how you do this," is a great tool to brand yourself. (I use Camtasia Studio. It's expensive, however I believe it's a worthwhile investment for your business. To get a free trial version of Camtasia, scroll down to the bottom of the page and put in your information.) How to videos are also a case of offereing your expertise without asking anything in return. Remember, position yourself as an expert.
- Demonstration: Show a product in a video. If it's an e book, show a screen capture video of the table of contents and of course, the cover. Talk about the material that's covered. If it's a software or a service, show it in use. And of course if it's a physical thing, show you using it or demonstrating what it looks like.
Windows Movie Maker is a free program that your computer probably already has if you have Wiondows XP or Vista.. If you don't have it for some reason, you can download it here.
What would you add?
- A title screen
- Text that shows you website address
- Backgroung music
- Graphics (logo, banner, etc.)
How do these videos help you get traffic to your website?
There are 2 important things you can do to actually get people from places like You Tube to your site:
- Mention your site either by saying the address or even better, by adding text to your video showing your full website url. Make sure that the shot hovers long enough for interested viewers to either write it down or type it in their address bar.
- Add a link to a relevant address in the description so that YouTubers can actually click on your site.
- To a leads capture page offering more reklevant information.
- Send them to whatever page on your site is directly related to the info you're vlogging about. Another good reason to have a subscription form on every single page of your website.
- Send them directly to your newsletter sign up .
